Books, the book is the main tool used in education. Without books how can you learn. But, since the introduction of technology in classrooms, this is no longer applicable. Technology has come and has taken over, but is not yet the main tool. The book is still the main tool. Technology is merely a helping hand.

Materials/tools mainly used:
Books
As mentioned before, the book is the main tool in secondary education.
Blackboard (or whiteboard)
The blackboard is used for the teacher to write notes on.
Notebooks
The notebooks is for the pupil to write notes, homework etc.
Computers
Computers are becoming more popular in classrooms around the world.
Beamers
Beamers are also used to provide information during the class.
Television and VCR/DVDs
This is mainly used for showing educational videos.
