What is Second Life?

Second life is a multi-user online service that offers access to a 3-D virtual interactive environment. This environment is accessed via a client application on a local computer. Second life was created by Linden Research, Inc in YYYY. According to its portal “Second Life is a 3-D virtual world entirely built and owned by its residents.” . This world is created in different ways: - Gamers have “presence” in this world by using a customizable avatar - Gamers can interact with other gamers through they avatars - Gamers can create dynamic objects in this world - Gamers can sell its creations and buy someone else’s creation in a virtual marketplace - Gamers can buy land in this virtual world and build anything they want on it
