The Revival of Nationalism
In 2020, unlike global village, all countries tend to be more independent. They prefer to protect their own economics and unique culture; they prefer to rely on their own technology; they prefer to develop according to their own will. The reasons resulting in such situation involve economics recession, culture diversity and political conflict.
Due to the unduly international division of labor, some radical countries can not stand the regulations imposed by the international economy and can not endure the single economy structure. They are afraid of becoming the vassal and excessively rely on other countries and even some certain transnational corporation. To reduce corporate power and global inequity, they are inclined to develop the whole economy and industry system themselves. Consequently, each country will set higher tariff and encourage more internal trade. Therefore, less and less countries have less and less connections with each other.
The developed country will keep their up growth. The use and consumption of resources keep growing, resulting in the environment deterioration in developing countries. Conversely, the developing countries still wander in the low level economy and the people inside suffer the strait life. The difference in the economy and life further hinder the culture and religion communication. More badly, the people in the developing countries are hostile to the people from developed countries. Even within the developed countries, more and more job opportunities lost to developing country and the people in some industry including agriculture, manufacture and so on begin to encounter the unemployment. Such circumstance exacerbates the abruption of regional union.
At the meantime, the influence of religion and ideology play more and more important role. They shape the mind of people as well as develop themselves accordingly. The information from TV and Internet are more related to the national culture. Different culture and different language impede the communication and further expedite the barrier. The terrorism prevails more broadly. The poverty hostility and religion enmity are wreaked by the form of terrorism. The world becomes a battlefield. So every country has to strive for its own benefit and protect them by isolating others.
