Is it safe to work outside the office?

Offices usually are protected by alarm systems and security personnel. People that work outside the office often do not have these securities and therefore data that they carry around is less protected. It could be said that it is sometimes not safe to work outside the office when you work with confidential data. Jobs with less confidential data involved are equally safe inside / outside the office.
