I think that all developments regarding the internet (broadband, security, standards, etc.) will ultimately lead to The Virtual Information Society, and that means that the wide range of information interaction will be dominated by the internet channel. Currently, a good example of such information sharing via the web is the Skype site that offers its community of users phone services for free. Skype [1] is a company that calls itself “the Global P2P Telephony Company that is changing the telecommunications world by offering consumers free, superior-quality calling worldwide.” While internet telephony is still in its infancy, this website will definitely set an example for others in leading the world to a virtual information society.
