Creative Commons get a lot of positive feedback by the press. More and more countries are adopting the creative commons. And more and more websites are protected by term of creative commons. On March 9, 2006 the first law suite against CC took place in Amsterdam.
Summary: MTV vj Adam Curry had published his family photos online at the photo-sharing site Flickr, but under terms of CC Attribution-Noncommercial-ShareAlike license. Still magazine Weekend used 4 of those photos in their article about Adam's family without his permission. Weekend claimed that the CC-logo was not that visible and that they thougt that they could use the photos because they were at a public site. As you already expected, Adam won the trial; CC is legally bounded. For more information see the press releases of creative commons at [1]
