Did the recent finance crisis affect the climate change negotiations?

The awareness of the people was mainly focused on the economic situation and weighted the climate negotiations with much lower importance than before the finance crisis. Also Governments changed their focus from climate change issue to concentrate on economic and finance issues such as unemployment rate or governments debt, for example.
