Can use of Second Life be harmful for the users?

There are several possibilities:

- Psychological harm: there have been listed several dangers to users like: addiction to the game, disconnection from reality, aggressive behavior, etc. However all of these dangers are common to all online games and are not only specific Second Life.

- Use of personal information: in this respect the terms of use state that “Linden Lab uses your personal information to operate and improve Second Life, and will not give your personal information to third parties except to operate, improve and protect the Service.”

- Access of underage people to adult content: in this regard the terms of use state “You must be 13 years of age or older to access Second Life; minors over the age of 13 are only permitted in a separate area, which adults are generally prohibited from using. Linden Lab cannot absolutely control whether minors or adults gain unauthorized access to the Service.” Which is a common place for all the media accessible on the internet
