8. How can make profits from DMB service for mobile operators?

There are two DMB services being currently operated in Korea. One is Satellite DMB and the other one is Terrestrial DMB. For the S-DMB, the business model is subscriber’s fee and advertising, while T-DMB is totally depends on advertising as it is free. According to recent released press, only 0.5 million subscribers are registered for the S-DMB, and T-DMB’s subscribers are approximately 1.5 million. This is not enough number for the adverting sales. So the companies should make mass market to create revenue. And operating adult channel and T-commerce services are also one of the ways to make profit. In order to this, coverage should be solved first, and then interactive network should be made before the services.
