3. How portals will make their revenue from wireless Internet?

Famous wired portal’s service is increasingly interfacing with wireless Internet. For example, Naver’s search and blog, Mobile Cyworld, Mobile MSN, Daum’s mobile hanmail, etc. When we consider that open wireless network service such as WINC(Wireless Internet Numbers for Contents) service failed to get popularity, for some time wired portal will prefer to cooperate with operator’s wireless portal rather than run their own wireless portal independently. We can see these trend in sales in information usage fee, which is paid to contents provider(CP). Information usage fee for the 1st quarter this year was $15.1 billion which was increased 16% comparing with same period last year. Main reason of sales increasing is network evolution-more stable and faster. At first time, ring tone downloading and Coloring service was a main stream of mobile service, but now multimedia service such as mobile game, music and picture transferring service, etc are increasingly preferred by customer.
