Result: Until 30th,June,2004, there are 87 million who uses Internet for some purpose and the increase rate compared to the same time 2003 is 27.9%.

-people using personal direct line:28.7 million,increase 22.5% from 2003
-people using dial-up:51.55 million,increase 14.5% from 2003

The Power Line Communication has just started, there are some experimental uses in Beijing and Xinjiang Province. Wireless connection is not very common in China because of the standard issue. China is not satisfied with the security performance of the WiFi and has developed its own wireless standard called WAPI. These two standard is not compatible.So there is still not a definit answer of using which standard.
