For the country this is moreover a security issue. Since big parts of its landmass lie below sea level, global warming and a resulting sea level rise is a danger for this country.
So, the position of this country in climate negotiations is clearly for a reduction of GHG emissions, like that of the whole EU. They say a reduction of GHG would cost only 0,6% of global GDP.
