The present applications of Mashups on the web are read-only (View) versions of different services like eBay + GoogleMaps. This situation will be replaced soon by allowing transactional possibility for the users within Mashups.
A possible situation can be, a user finds a vacation spot through Google Maps. A click leads to a traveling site that provides tickets to the place, another click to a Car rental agency, and then to a Hotel booking and the list continues. Finally, the user will have a possibility to do a combined transaction during check-out.
