In this scenario, China will focus on economy development and play a more and more important role in the world stages. China’s high speed GDP growth rate gives China the power to act as a key player in standard making. Its next generation standard CIPV6 will become dominant in the world.
In the beginning of year 2005, China’s National Congress decided to pay more attention to economy growth and increasing of people’s living standard. So the government will continue the open China policy and loosen control to give more flush to China’s economy. As a result of growth, China can invest more money in NGN (Next Generation Network), which will in turn to accelerate the research of CIPV6. In 2007, the year before Beijing Olympic Games, China released CIPV6 standard and implement it into the “Digital Beijing Olympic Games” project, which is proved to be great success and made deep impressions in the minds of guests from all over the world. After the Olympic Game, some foreign countries begin to import the CIPV6 standard and the leading IT companies such as Microsoft, Cisco, and HP announce to support this standard in some of their products.
At the same time, world’s economy is still stagnant. More and more Europeans and Americans now begin to seek the opportunities in China market. They saw the big success of CIPV6 in China and feel the increasing influence of China economy. In order to get a share of the big cake, they have to make their IT products compatible with CIPV6 protocol. Also, they give many good suggestions to better the standard. More and more western research institutes begin to research the CIPV6.
While the foreign companies continuing coming into China’s market, the Chinese companies now begin to keep an eye on foreign economy. They have the first steps onto European and American territory. One example is the Lenovo’s acquisition to IBM PC department. Those kinds of activities give more influence to China economy, as well as the standard from China.
In 2010, the Shanghai World Expo is another shocking success after 2008 Olympic Games. After several years’ deployment and development, the CIPV6 is more advanced. It plays a key role in the success of the Shanghai Expo. After that, the leading IT companies begin to totally support CIPV6 in the whole product lines. CIPV6 supported products occupy more and more shares in the world market. China’s rapid growth brings the young generation better education. Because of Open China policy and more money in their pockets, many of these young guys have the study abroad experiences. They contribute their knowledge in the China’s economy development as well as CIPV6. With their smart brains, those spry guys get well paid and have higher social status than their parents. They form the middle class in China and have a voice. They want a stable social environment. They successes of Beijing Olympic Games and Shanghai World Expo build up Chinese’s confidence. Together with the mainstream opinion and other countries’s appeal, China solves the Taiwan problem with peace in 2011, which stimulates a more rapid economy growth as well as influence. Also, Taiwan’s R&D capability in IT industry is well integrated into the development of CIPV6. With the widely deployment of CIPV6 and China’s huge influence, CIPV6 is accepted as the world standard in 2015.
