Description

The number of people who own a car has been increasing over the years in Netherlands. Therefore more people are buying personal cars and thus the number of people per car is decreasing.

  • Increase in number of people employed

  • Expansion of the road networks
  • Changes to travel behavior
  • Demand for leisure time activities

  • Rising fuel prices
  • Increase in traffic delays
  • Increase in public transport availability
