Even where Internet access is reliable, content filtering affects access in important ways. Where internet access is available, it is often limited, in often frustrating ways for teachers and students, by content filters designed to protect students from inappropriate material. Where filters are not available, there is a greater reluctance to access the internet in school because of fear of exposure to inappropriate material. It is also up to the teacher to control, supervise and advice children on how to use technology properly.
