Future shortage in healthcare workers effects availability hospital care negatively
Description:
The upcoming shortage of (para-)medical professionals will lead to a restricted availability of hospital care. This can e.g. lead to ‘post-code healthcare’ (redistribution of care to those who can affort it) or to an evenly distributed shortage
Elderly can be neglected by there families and are left to fend for themselves in substandard nursing homes.
Many countries are addressing this issue and are first attempting to gather additional information and legitimize the problem.
