  • Cross-border commuting between Member States (with no residence change) has been steadily increasing over recent years, but still remains quite low. Belgium has the highest rate, with 1.7% of its working residents working in neighbouring countries. On average only 0.2% of the EU-15 working population commutes between Member States.
