Description

The ever increasing technological development in telecommunications is of tremendous factor and can as well act as a catalyst to laptop use generally. These technologies include the wireless technologies like Bluetooth which have a global specification and answer the need for short-range wireless connectivity within three areas, that is, the Data and Voice access points, Cable replacement and Ad hoc networking and at the same time can easily transfer data at a faster speeds and range and with less energy power. It does not matter where the user will actually be as people are able to use their laptops anywhere really.

  • Low-cost information and data storage and transmission technologies are in general use.
  • Increased users of the Internet technologies with more than 800 million Net-connected PCs today
  • Most laptops and other handheld devices are in built with Wi-Fi which has a mesh capability for wireless communications

  • In order to use IP for ad-hoc Bluetooth PANs, certain additions and enhancements to the protocol functionality are needed.

Paradigm

Businesses of the near future will fully exploit wireless investments and capabilities by converging multiple devices and wireless technologies - including wireless wide-area networks (WWANs), wireless LANs and Bluetooth-enabled personal area networks (PANs) - to create systems that provide end-to-end visibility and control in real time.
