For Wireless Broadband Service, IEEE 802.16e (Mobile Wireless MAN) was finalized at the late of last year, 2005.
The 802.1x will progress to the 802.2x specification (BWA; Broadband Wireless Access).
But the time of 802.2x finalization will be late of 2000 and interoperability between 802.1x & 802.2x is expected.
