Custom-built Television/Mobile

From interchangeable covers to branded fashion mobiles, mobile phone becomes increasingly personalized. Users can decorate their phone with different covers which offered by manufactures, download software and games, pictures and themes to show their own style. Mobile manufactures like Nokia and SE have already allied with mobile operators to provide mobile phones available exclusively for the mobile operators’ customers with customizing features. However, most of the development mentioned above is not involved users, so in the future mobile manufactures or some other third party can produce customer-built covers, or develop specific functions/games/software that meet special needs of some customers(like kids and elders).

Besides mobile phone, television is another way people can show their own characters. Thought the use of new technologies improves the definition and life span of television, increase the quantity and quality of television contents, as well as making it thinner, there is not possible for users to design or engage in the design of displayers. There is a growing emphasis on home decoration style, from design only by expertise to DIY, people especially young people would like to be unique and be different from others, so this would be a new move if the television manufactures can offer tailor-made television according to users’ special requirement, though this is a niche market, there is still a opportunity to be profitable.
