Because there is an information explode on the internet, people become more aware of protecting their property and private information. One can get access to private information very easily nowadays and people therefore demand more security on private and confidential information. Confidential information about for example exams, politics and business deals, online banking are more important to be protected then other kinds of information and can’t even be shared on internet when it is not protected. Intellectual property states clearly what is patented and who owns the copyright, so protection is more clear. In this way, the information that could be shared, is the information that the owner wants to share.
