International cooperation in energy fields can take numerous forms. Whether it's about the Kyoto protocol or similar agreements or about establishing regional cooperation or global cooperation such measures can ensure: - reduction of green house gas emissions; - sustainable energy policy of the participating countries; - transfer of technology from more advanced countries; - improved long term energy efficiency.
