Description:
When the microchip went through a extreme fast innovation period; it speeded up in capacity and it became clear that this microchip was going to have big impact on things you couldn’t even imagine. The biggest impact was in the ‘personal computer world’ where PC’s came affordable for most consumers.
Enablers:
Realization of the impact of PCs to the world created the unexplored business field ‘ICT’ like software development and internet related technologies. Take for example Google, this company has created a million dollar business which is based on the internet for 100%.
Inhibitors:
The internet will expand in functionality in line with the development of the microchip.
Paradigms:
All businesses are depending on PCs and the connection with the internet.
All consumers who can afford it are working on the PC and the internet.
Experts:
Companies who are in the R&D of microchips.
Timing:
Capacity of the microchip doubled on average in a year.
