Description:
The UK housing market has witnessed exponential type price increases over the last 5 years. An average two bedroom property in London purchased in 1999 will now have doubled in value. It is necessary to understand the driving forces behind this trend to determine whether now is a good time to purchase property in the UK.
Enablers:
- Strenghth of the RSM brand and ranking
- Weakness of the economy (MBA applications are counter-cyclical)
Inhibitors:
- Variety of other programmes offered by european business schools (competition)
- Negative Rankings
Paradigms:
- (Old)- The value of an MBA to society is high. It is an elitist qualification which can enable thoe holder of the degree to fast-track his/her career. People will be encouraged to undertake the degree.
- (New) - The market for MBA's is becoming saturated. An MBA will mean nothing as a qualification. The only thing that will matter is the institution that awarded the degree. People will be more reluctant to undertake the degree.
