Description:
Green transporation mediums can be explained on different levels. These can include the technologies that drive such mediums such as bio and hydrogen fuels as well as entire systems such as solar powered cars and trains. There are many up and comming technologies which will facilitate the improvement of green transporation mediums. The world is shifting from its reliance on oil which is a finite resource, towards renewable and environemtn friendly alternatives.
Enablers:
- Ethanol
- Hydrogen fuel cells(NOx)
- Readily available infrastructure
- Increasing price of oil
- Geo political events in oil rich areas
- Increasing power demand, both in home and gasoline, thus population growth is again an enabler.
Inhibitors:
- Low cost of extracting oil
- Economic effects of oil industries
- Political alliances with oil rich countries
