As first year ICT in Business students we have done this assignment for the course ICT Planning. This assignment was about choosing a topic and describing it's future evolution. We have chosen to describe the Future of Intellectual property, as this is a big issue with the upcoming Web 2.0. Intellectual property rights on Web 2.0 is a hot topic for a number of reasons. These include:
(1) What rights should be associated with Web content?
(2) How should the rights be expressed?
(3) Should the expression of the rights be used for notification, enforcement or payment negotiation?
(4) How far does the technology requires us to change the legal understanding or status of copyright as it is now?
