1) Which industry will lead Homenet business in the future?
-Specialist: ISP Industry>Appliances > Settop manufacturing co, -Academic : ISP Industry> Housing Industry>Appliances -Business :Appliances >ISP Industry>Housing Industry
2) What kinds of services will be supplied on the TV Platform?
-Entertainment(movie,game,music) -Banking/Pet care / Health care -Home security/Internet/ Cable co, -Satellite SVS Providers -Telecommucation -Broadcasting Center
3) Will be Territorial broadcasting, Satellite broadcasting and Cable
broadcasting integrated with the one business owner? -It is not like that.. As the one business owner, It could not satisfied the medium which become diversified and the demand of consumers. -Basically ,It provides the contents based on the self network, and as a contemts provider it would be the shape of One Source for Multi Use. -Like initial Internet broadcasting, the broadcasting stations would be more personalized and specialized in the Biz.
4) Can DMB transfer existing ground and satellite broadcasting method?
-In 2,010, existing ground broadcasting will be ended and it means the HDTV will be located with the standard. -The appearance of Digital TV based on HD technolagy will advance the direction which is a small and big size Simultaneously. -The form of large size will be developing with the direction of maximization in visibility and reality.Besides DMB will be the standard in miniaturization which emphasizes a portablity.
5) Will TV Home Shopping have a competitive power in comparison with
Internet commercial transaction?
-TV Home Shopping will work out it’s own salvation, But in present conditions, the competitive power will be weekened in comparison with e-commerce company. -TV Home Shopping will change in type and resembles with e-commerce company, because of a limits in time, Convenience of Settlement, Variety of Commodity. -GS e-Shop and CJ Mall reinforce the Open-Market Biz, and it reflect like this actual condition. -It is estimated that TV Home Shopping will provide various purchasing applications,like Internet, IPTV, Mobile, Electric-Home Appliances, based upon current network.
6) What are the difficult problems which interrupt an activation of
Digital TV? -For the inducement of cosummer, the increase of High-Quality HD broadcasting program sould be necessary. But the production costs of HD contents are twice as much as it is for Analogue, HD could not contribute to the increasing of revenue. -Because of non-successful prorgrams that of Nature, Documentary etc, Advertisement profits are lowBold text -To solve this problem, Early-settlement of Digital TV is necessary in Market.
7)How could the profit-sources of broadcasting be changed by the diversified medium?
- The diversified medium could make a diverse profit-sources. Consumers will enjoy the other channel in the middle of advertisement like a Cable-Movie channel. - The system of charging will be changed to that of PPV (Pay-Per-View), VOD method. - Also, the minization of product-costs with PPL / BPL will be generalized.

20) How do the display manufacturing companies forecast the competition between plasma and LCD?
-They are expecting tough competition between plasma and LCD TVs due to the price decrease of LCD TV. The key factor of the competition is pricing. By the end of 2005, the 42 inches of plasma and LCD TVs will compete in price. However, for quite some time, in the market of above 42 inch-sizes of TVs, plasma TVs will maintain better position. Since the market situation depends on the providers of modules and sets, the price difference between two devices might become closer than expected. Thus, the display companies will keep an eye on the market trends.
21) How do the display manufacturing companies explain the presence on 2 different technologies that are the plasma and the LCD TV?
-Some of electronic companies are concentrating their investment on plasma and LCD TVs at the same time, while other companies have chosen either plasma TVs or LCD TVs as their focus. However, the display industry can be elaborated as the fact that the display maunfacturers are concentrating their business on LCD TVs smaller than 42 inch and plasma TVs larger than 42 inch. As for business portion, they are balancing the sales of plasma and LCD TVs. The portion of sales could vary in the future depending on the market.
22) How will the Super Slim CRT TV affect the low-end market?
-There is a high demand for Super Slim TV in Asia and South America, it is not certain in developed countries such as Europe and America because the price of LCD TVs is dropping rapidly. At the moment, the display industry is expecting Super Slim TV will replace the conventional bulky CRT TV market in undeveloped countries. Therefore, while display manufacturers are watching the market situation of CRT, they are planning to drop the production of bulky CRT TV gradually.
23) What was the biggest hit in the field of plasma &LCD technology? What extreme changes were there this year?
-As for the technology of plasma TV, the change from double scan to single scan was first introduced in 2005, decreasing parts which make the quality more reliable. On the other hand, regarding LCD TV technologies, usage of LED backlight technology took care of weak points in short life span and brightness.
24) How does the display industry face the overproduction of LCD screens?
-We can say that definitely the price of LCD TVs will drop dramatically from next year. However, as the market of LCD TV is numerous, the manufacturers which have many benefits such as price competitiveness, concurrent engineering, and time conservation will manage the overproduction of LCD screens and achieve market leadership.
25) What perception do the display manufacturing companies have of consumers needs for plasma & LCD TVs?
-All of the display manufacturing companies are always concerned about their customers’ needs and benefits. Also, they hold the principle of providing top quality products to their customers with reasonable prices. Since there are many countries in the global market, they all have different cultures and characteristics. Thus, manufacturers will differentiate their products according to such differences. At the same time, because the market is always changing, their pricing will also change according to market demands and customers’ expectations.
