There are many readers on the market but textbook themselves are still missing. In terms of price e-books need to compete with second had books as e-book can be used only one time. In general there is high competition in the reader manufacturing industry but so far low success with the e-book manufacturing and distribution.
Currently CourseSmart (made of 5 large publishers) has 30% of market, however e-book make only >10% of all textbooks on the market.
