What are new plans for public transport?

Public transport which is at the moment a very mechanical process is more and more transforming into a organic process of traveling. Most bus, trams and metro in the big cities already going every ten minutes which means that you never really have to wait for you tram, metro or bus. From the end of this year, it will also be like that with the train system. Which by far has the biggest infra structure of all means of public transport. Comfort and service and becoming more and more important for the public transport sector. A few examples of ways of improving services : The NS has far developed plans to offer free internet connections in the train; more intercity connections; improving connections between different means of public transport.
A new trend in the public transport sector seems to be to privatizing. Bus, metro and tram lines has to offered on European level. Also the state company Nationale Spoorwegen (NS) is split up in smaller companies and privatized for 50%.
At the moment their also new development concerning the Super Bus. This means of transport will make public transport cheaper and faster. It will not necessary to travel any more to a station. The Super bus has a home to home delivery system.
