The World Economic Forum is an independent foundation, with representatives from many leading companies, aiming at cooperation between businesses to address global social issues like poverty. Working from the point of view that major social issues need to be addressed by working together on a global scale, and that the private sector has a responsibility to play an important role in this. Looking ahead, anticipating the future is an important tool for this organisation.
