the dots should not have edges, more oval shape, with unclear outlines
they can be less well visible sometimes not at all, you see just a few dots lightning up; moves must be slower, so there's no flickering neither in the background nor in
dots, just slight and smooth changes in the visibility, everything rrrealllyy sslllllllooooowww.
I think to literally have to follow a line, is too static. You see only a few dots, and when you've reached these, other ones start to show. there can be more coincidence,
spaces between dots can vary, sometimes you have to go back a little because you missed part of the line (because it just wasn't there before)
I like the slowness of the mouse!
It's nice that some dots go out of the picture, but most of the time I think they must get invisible before they've reached the corners of the picture. Like a candle you just
blew out, maybe leaving a slight impression of some smoke or shadow even.

Trace the Lines

because this is such an important part of the experience. This is the moment to get the user from the fast internet-world into a meditative, inner world mood, and you benefit from that in the whole experience.

I think the atmosphere can and must be far more mysterious....!

these are my ideas on how to do that, but of course tim and yourself are the experts:

the dots should not have edges, more oval shape, with unclear outlines they can be less well visible sometimes not at all, you see just a few dots lightning up; moves must be slower, so there's no flickering neither in the background nor in dots, just slight and smooth changes in the visibility, everything rrrealllyy sslllllllooooowww. I think to literally have to follow a line, is too static. You see only a few dots, and when you've reached these, other ones start to show. there can be more coincidence, spaces between dots can vary, sometimes you have to go back a little because you missed part of the line (because it just wasn't there before)

I like the slowness of the mouse!

It's nice that some dots go out of the picture, but most of the time I think they must get invisible before they've reached the corners of the picture. Like a candle you just blew out, maybe leaving a slight impression of some smoke or shadow even.

color of flame should fit little bit more with background color, both more brownish I think, that's warmer and more mysterious, but please consult tim.
