Description
When businesses can find ways use mashups to increase the profitability of these businesses, they will create more mashups. One way to create profits from mashups is to place ads on webpages that are visited often. Another way is when the mashup is an extra service which attracts customers, as they can find what they want to find easier in the mashup then on websites from companies that do not provide these services.
Enablers
- Consumers looking for the company that has the best services available to them
- Placing advertisements on mashups that are visited often, but are otherwise unprofitable, can make them profitable.
Inhibitors
- Mashups have to rely on software of other websites, when this software is no longer available, the mashup can no longer exist either.
