Quick changes in the future workspace require, besides support from the employees, significant investments. Solutions supporting mobile office functionality are relatively expensive. The general European economical development will greatly influence the willingness of corporations to invest in such solutions instead of simply focussing on staying in the market. After all a positive economic climate will encourage organisations into new commitments. The nonspectecular growth figures presented in the previous question leave little space for ample investments in this field. This means that additional investments (as opposed to "going with the technological flow") in the future of the workspace are unlikely to occur.
