Result: Based on the research down by IDC, we found that China government is investing a lot in E-government, about 23.1 billion RMB in 2003, an expected 22.3% increase in 2004, an expected average increase of 15.3% between 2004 and 2008 and the investment are expected to be 55.4 billion RMB in 2008. And because of the maturity of the purchase procedure, more and more hardware and software were purchased seperately. So the percentage of investment on hardware would decrease in the future years but the percentage of software and services would dramatically increase. In 2003, the Chinese government has spent 6.9 billion RMB on application solution and service and it will reach a 7.6 billion RMB market capacity on 2008 with an average annual increase rate of 15%.
China government always advocate the development of e-commerce. China government are now dealing with the issue of taxes, laws and prodedures about the e-commerce. According to Morgan Stanley the aggregate potential and scale of technology, media and market is ranked No 3 in the world. And also intel stated that the potential of e-commerce in China has been under-estimated. In a research, it is said that only 4.5% of the company with international business has developed mature e-commerce,31.2% has just started and 23.6% has not think about it. About online-games, Chinese government has stated that there would be 2 billion RMB invested in Chinese online game development. And Chinese government has given the GAPP the rights to manage online game.And now competetive online game as regard as a sport in China.
