19. Are browsers platform dependent?

From the four most popular browsers, only Internet Explorer is not supported on all modern known platforms. This poses a problem because Microsoft is losing market share fast to POSIX based operating systems like OSX, FreeBSD and Ubuntu. Most of the popular browsers however are multi platform.
